Anonymous asked: Hello, I have been referred to your site from a friend in London. I live in HK and just started to update my wardrobe from those "high street" brands (the ones that cost plenty but do not really fit nor make you feel special!) simple question - you keep referring to a ring jacket. What is "ring" ? Is it a special process? Final question - tie bars. I love the 2 on your site but when would you wear them? At work ?how high up on the tie - midway? Thank you Frank
Ring Jacket is a brand that we carry, it is to us the best factory-made suit in Japan and a nice mix of southern Italian and Japanese style. If you are interested in find out more, feel free to drop by the store and have a look at it in person. It has one of the nicest shoulder lines of the various makers out there and the work is clean and well done.
As for tie bars, I wear them quite regularly and prefer to keep them just above the buttoning point of the suit, so just a touch above the waist. A tie bar is for keeping your tie out of soup and it is nice to stick to its utilitarian origins.
