ethandesu:

Snips
Something I found in Kyoto a few weeks back, and was taken by the unusual shape and quality of work. My patient wife has done her best to find out more about the late maker - one of three Showa period masters of grip scissor making. His name has a few possible translations - Touji as his given name, his family name potentially Odera, Kodera, Kotera or even Otera. Finding out may need a trip back to Kyoto - a hardship I am willing to endure.
