The Armoury London Pop Up - December 9 - 11

We are pleased to announce that The Armoury will be holding its first trunk show in London from Dec 9 to 11 with Liverano and Nackymade in tow. While we are very much a Hong Kong based operation, we wish to connect with new customers around the world and have used the classic “travelling tailors” model to do so.

Liverano

Our first trunk show will feature Florentine master tailor Antonio Liverano, taking bespoke orders for his outstanding suits, cut himself in the classic tailoring style of the city. We do not use the word “master” lightly, but this is one of the few cases where the term is justified.

As my colleague Ethan so eloquently puts it:

“A beautiful, refined city, equally with one foot in the countryside and one foot at the doorstep of some of the most revered art and thinking in the world, the style of Florentine tailoring is just as refined. A broad shouldered cut with sweeping lines from lapel to quarters, the Florentine style eschews the exaggeration of Naples and the fashion of Milan. It is a suit to wear because it comes naturally to dress well, and without ostentation. Rich vintage sharkskins and rough tweeds give a subtle nod to a reverence for English tailoring, but the cut itself is soft and flowing.”

Liverano will be available for bespoke order appointments with a selection of his carefully curated cloth stock in tow. Two fittings will be required for new customers and Liverano will be visiting London at regular intervals throughout the year. Pricing starts at GBP 4,000.

Nackymade

We will also be featuring Naoki Nakagawa, or Nacky for short, our favourite custom glassesmaker from Kobe and truly a glasses maniac. Nacky creates frames that are modern, whimsical and comfortable, making each frame individually in his workshop. He offers both ready-to-wear and custom glasses. Thanks to Nacky’s inspired designs and flexibility in realizing details for customers, he has garnered fans all over Asia and the USA.

Examples of Nacky’s previous custom work include Fender-guitar motif arms and reinterpreting vintage designs in an extra-large size.

Ready-to-Wear Pricing starts at GBP 300, Custom order quotes are given based on the complexity of the order.
